New recipe number 4
In sticking with the Italian theme we had a shrimp dish last night. Well more correctly Terry and Jina had shrimp the boys and I had chicken. It was ok. It had a good flavor but for 16 oz of pasta you need a lot more than 16 oz of sauce. I would recommend lowering the amount of pasta or increasing the sauce depending on the number of people you are feeding.

New recipe number 3
I decided that this week I would menu plan and we were having Italian all week. Next week is either Mexican or Asian. Not for sure which. So tonight we had a new dish and I got lots of thumbs up so I will probably add this in to a regular meal schedule (not to mention I get to finish off the leftover wine). Here is the recipe for the Chicken Marsala. I'll post a pic tomorrow.
The Gryphindor scarf is coming along nicely and I hope to have it finished in a few days. Then I'll have to make a second one for an online friend. I'm kinda happy to have all these projects lining up. Until next time.
And as promised the picture of a plate of pasta and Chicken Marsala.

Another new recipe for my 38 recipes challenge
Hmmm.....updates
Guess I should have said a little of what went on in life between my last post in August to the present.
Eragon had surgery at the end of September to have a mass removed from his back. It was cancerous and unfortunately came back the day after my birthday and the day after I came back from my scrap retreat in Alabama. He left this world on November 3. Thankfully it was a busy weekend so I didn't have a lot of time to dwell on it.
Mom and I went to the grand opening of Archivers on the fourth where she proceeded to get most of my Christmas shopping done. On the fifth we celebrated Jina's 16th birthday. That doesn't seem possible but I guess time does fly. We had a dinner at Logan's and then hung out at the Family Fun Center.
Thanksgiving was great. Shannon's family joined us for dinner this year so it was a busy big meal.
Oh the Saturday before Thanksgiving we got a new kitty and we named her Isis. She's a little insane but she fits right in.
Christmas was great as always. Santa was good to all three kids and the adults all got a little something we all really wanted. New Years was a blast. We had some new comers to the festival this year and it was so good to see Shirley and meet her new beau Michael.
So we are up to the present and I promise I'll post a few pics eventually.

Epic Fail
Well I won't say I was epic fail. Maybe just a tiny fail. I totally dropped out of sight on the project 365 about mid August of 2011. I'm not going to do that again this year. I may do a few photos a week to say "hey here we are." But I'm also hopefully going to be posting updates to a few challenges I've given myself. I'm doing a few things in increments of 38s for the year. Since I'm going to be 38 this year. So here is a list of my challenges and I'll update with pictures sometimes as I go.
To complete x 38
Books
New recipes
Non-scrappy projects
The non-scrappy stuff I think may be the hardest. I've started the quilt and I've started crocheting a scarf so I've got a jump on it at least.
I've read 3 books so far this month and I've tried one new recipe found here . It was ok. Not great. I'll try to upload a few pics tomorrow but for tonight it's bedtime.
And here is the pic of dinner and of the quilt as well
